After living in Seattle for more than 25 years, I sold my house and returned to Everett in March 2004. The distance between my former neighborhood and the new one was only 15 miles; but the well-trodden paths of my daily routine utterly changed. My grocery store was no longer QFC, it was now Safeway at 41st. My default restaurant for a weeknight dinner out is now Bistro Vino instead of Bick's Broadview Grill.

When I was creating the neighborhoods profiles, I felt the same excitement about Seattle as I did in 1979. Surprise and delight to discover fresh energy in Everett and so many parts on the region, and the pleasure of encountering people who have found homes and connection with the areas.

Puget Sound has always been known for its neighborhoods, each with its own personality and flavor, each a place to call home, each one making me wish I could live there too. See you around the neighborhoods.
